Xenia Nekipelova is a film director and interdisciplinary artist working across fiction, documentary, performance and participatory art. Her practice explores human relationships, memory and the interaction between people and the spaces they inhabit.
Moving between observation and constructed situations, she uses cinema as a meeting point for image, text, movement and collective experience.
Artist Statement
I am interested in stories that emerge from ordinary situations and reveal invisible emotional tensions. My work explores how people negotiate identity, intimacy and belonging through spaces, routines and shared experiences, moving between observation and carefully constructed cinematic situations.
